English Assessment Students whose first language is not English, or who are bilingual, will take an English assessment to see if they qualify for English Language Learner (ELL) Services in Minneapolis Public Schools. School Placement Placement staff help ELL and non-ELL families choose a Minneapolis Public School that is in their transportation area and that offers the services they need. Health Interview A nurse will review each student’s health history and make referrals as needed. If students are in need of vaccinations, our nurse can provide them here at no cost.
